Yes that’s right. A young pregnant mum in her pajamas was arrested in front of her young children for posting on Facebook to attend a lockdown protest.

We still have an 8pm curfew. We have not been allowed out for more than one hour of exercise a day for 5 weeks. We have not been allowed to see our elderly parents for 8 weeks. Today we had 113 new cases. 113.

This even made it on Canadian news, so it must be considered extraordinary. (Sorry, we hear almost no news of Australia here on our mainstream news outlets!). We went through a very long time of lockdown where I live (though in our area we never had a curfew) and so grocery store shelves actually looked empty because people hoarded when they got into a store. As our Pastor has said (after government restrictions on how the gathering of congregations must observe a list of protocols), “Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar’s and to God the things that are God’s.”
